TREND Project \u2013 NanoFe Catalytic Reactor<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Development of semi-industrial technological equipment using innovative nano-iron (nanoFe) activated oxidation processes for the effective removal of pharmaceuticals and their metabolites from wastewater. The project focuses on practical verification of the technology under conditions close to real operation and on online monitoring and evaluation of data in real time.This project is funded with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic under the TREND Program.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the TREND project is to develop and construct a pilot-scale facility using optimized innovative nanoiron (nanoFe) activated oxidation agents for the effective removal of pharmaceuticals and their metabolites from pharmaceutical-contaminated wastewater. The technology is also intended for the treatment of secondary liquid waste streams in the form of concentrates generated during the use of membrane separation technologies. An integral part of the project is the verification of the functionality of the developed equipment on a semi-industrial scale close to real operating practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OPV's long-term strategy is to use technological innovation as a key competitive advantage and thus systematically strengthen its position not only in the field of geological and hydrological surveys, remediation of contaminated sites (soil and groundwater), and laboratory analyses, which the company has been successfully engaged in for a long time. OPV is fully aware that slowing down or stopping development activities could lead to a gradual loss of competitiveness and a subsequent decline in market potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results of the project, represented in particular by the development of the NanoFe catalytic reactor for the controlled final disposal of pharmaceuticals from wastewater, including the possibility of online monitoring and evaluation of operating data, will enable OPV to enter new markets in the field of wastewater treatment, particularly in pharmaceutical industry operations, healthcare facilities, and other technologically demanding operations. The NanoFe catalytic reactor project for the removal of pharmaceuticals from wastewater with online monitoring and data evaluation is co-financed with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under the TREND Program. This project was financed under the National Recovery Plan from the European Recovery and Resilience Facility. TREND<\/em>. Fuzit \u2013 Utility model<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Technical solution for online monitoring and real-time data evaluation. The utility model registered with the Industrial Property Office will protect intellectual property in the form of an online nanoFe catalytic oxidation control system. The solution will be modularly assembled from an online TOC analyzer, associated sensors, and programmable PLC control algorithms for continuous evaluation and optimization of operating parameters.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

ZETA Project \u2013 Ceramic Composite Filters<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Development of new filtration materials and technologies for the decontamination of groundwater and surface water contaminated with pesticides and heavy metals. The project builds on previous research activities by OPV and is being implemented in collaboration with academic partners.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

OPV has been systematically investing its resources in research and development for a long time and is currently implementing its second follow-up R&D project in cooperation with the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague. This project focuses on the decontamination of pesticides and heavy metals from groundwater. All research and development activities are carried out under the auspices of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TACR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A significant result of OPV's R&D activities is the achievement of very good results in the field of pesticide disposal in groundwater using its own decontamination product - CerACTIVE<\/strong>, kter\u00fd byl vyvinut ve spolupr\u00e1ci s Vysokou \u0161kolou chemicko-technologickou v Praze. Princip jeho \u00fa\u010dinku je zalo\u017een na vyu\u017eit\u00ed nano\u010d\u00e1stic oxidu ceru, kter\u00e9 p\u0159edstavuj\u00ed inovativn\u00ed zp\u016fsob destabilizace aromatick\u00fdch jader slou\u010denin, s nimi\u017e si p\u0159irozen\u00e9 procesy \u010dasto nejsou schopny poradit a kter\u00e9 tak p\u0159edstavuj\u00ed dlouhodobou z\u00e1t\u011b\u017e pro \u017eivotn\u00ed prost\u0159ed\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the first stage of development, supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic in the ZETA program, this granulate was developed and protected by an industrial utility model, achieving very promising results, especially in the removal of chlorinated pesticides. In the follow-up phase of the research, which began in the second half of 2020, CerACTIVE is being applied to a new type of ceramic composite carrier with the addition of titanium dioxide and graphene. The aim of this stage is to further increase the decontamination efficiency of the newly developed filtration systems.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
